ARTIFAUX ("we," "our," or "us") operates a virtual try-on platform that enables users to visualize clothing and fashion items on themselves using AI-powered technology. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services, including our website, kiosk devices, and mobile interfaces (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information (Store Owners)
When you register as a store owner, we collect:
- Store name and business details
- Email address for account verification and communication
- Password (stored in hashed, non-reversible format)
2.2 Public User Information
When you sign in as a public user (via Google OAuth), we receive:
- Your name and email address from your Google account
- We do not access your Google password or other Google data
2.3 Images & Photos
This is the most important section. Here is exactly what happens with your photos:
- We do NOT store your images. Photos captured via our kiosk camera or uploaded from your device are used solely for real-time virtual try-on processing.
- All image transfers are encrypted. Your photos are transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections, ensuring they cannot be intercepted during transfer.
- Automatic deletion after processing. Once our AI generates your virtual try-on result, the original photo is immediately and permanently deleted from our processing pipeline. No copies are retained.
- No third-party image sharing. Your photos are never shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third party. They are processed exclusively within our secure infrastructure.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the virtual try-on Service
- To process AI-powered clothing visualization in real-time
- To send account verification codes and password reset emails
- To manage store owner accounts and subscription billing
- To improve the quality and accuracy of our AI models (using anonymized, aggregated data only — never individual images)
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption in transit: All data is transmitted over TLS-encrypted (HTTPS) connections
- Encryption at rest: Sensitive data stored in our databases is encrypted
- Secure authentication: Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms; JWT tokens are used for session management
- Access controls: Strict role-based access ensures only authorized personnel can access system infrastructure
- Cloud security: Our infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud platforms with enterprise-grade security certifications
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies required for the Service to function (such as authentication tokens). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or invasive analytics. Any usage analytics we collect are anonymized and used solely to improve the Service.

- User images: Not retained. Deleted immediately after virtual try-on processing
- Try-on results: Stored temporarily to allow you to view and share your results. Automatically purged after the session expires
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time
